20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Richard Ruben honored Mr. Chris Vinton of Comcast in Dover, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of his extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The presentation took place at Comcast's location in Dover, DE. The recipient was nominated by employee and Army Guard SSG Jason Mead who serves in the 261st TTSB of the Delaware National Guard. Mead stated in his nomination that Mr. Vinton is highly supportive of his National Guard or Reserve service. |

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer and Chair Emeritus Mr. Gene Hebert honored the City of Dover with an Above & Beyond Award, in recognition of their extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The presentation took place at the Dover offices. Accepting on the city's behalf was Mayor Carleton Carey. The employer has received numerous Patriot Awards, as well as participated in past ESGR events. The City of Dover goes above and beyond USERRA law requirements to provide additional benefits to military employees. Mayor Carey is highly supportive of National Guard or Reserve service -- even when military employees are called to duty on short notice or for multiple deployments. |

When the Kentucky Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) told its story to the annual meeting of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police last week in Bowling Green, it received a resounding response: 16 Police Departments from around the Commonwealth signed ESGR Statements of Support.
