Carlson presented the award with thanks from his wife, Capt. Mikayla Carlson of the Nebraska Air Guard, currently deployed in Germany. Nebraska Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve volunteers work with citizen soldiers and their civilian employers to mitigate problems and recognize outstanding employer cooperation.
