Mayor Pro Tem Gary Thomasian signed  a Statement of Support (SoS) affirming the city's commitment to it's citizen warriors serving our country in the Guard and Reserve.

(San Diego, CA) The Southern California Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency, honored two local reserve commands for their outstanding achievement and participation in a recent Fleet Week event, aboard the retired and historic aircraft carrier, the USS Midway CV-41.

Mr. Canterbury is challenging all 2,100 FOP Lodge Presidents to join with him and the FOP State Chapter Presidents in signing Statements of Support to publicly honor their FOP members who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

(ORLANDO, FL) Brig. Gen. Daniel I. Schultz, commander of the 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s Patriot Award to Mr. George Rogers, the GEICO Regional Vice President of Region VI, Florida.

The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest police organization in the United States consisting of more than 327,000 members and 2,100 lodges nationwide, with 20 of those lodges and over 9,000 FOP members located in California.
