Smyrna, DE – Delaware ESGR Volunteer Sarah Timmons honored Mark Ryan of PATS Aircraft Systems, a Division of Decrane Aerospace, in Georgetown, DE with a Patriot Award in recognition of his extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The recipient was nominated by employee and Army National Guardsman CW2 Charles Conaway. CW2 Conaway serves in the Delaware Army National Guard, 262nd Component Repair Company, Dagsboro.
The nominator praised his employer by writing that “my employer has always allowed me to take time off to help the Unit. Mr. John Martin, Executive Vice President of PATS Aircraft Systems, and Mr. Roger Wolfe, President of Decrane Aerospace, have both told me to do whatever is necessary to help my Unit, and they will welcome me back when the mission is complete. I am very fortunate to work for a company that is so accommodating and understanding.”
According to Christine Kubik, Delaware ESGR Executive Director, “the ESGR Patriot Award was created to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of our nation’s Guard and Reserve units. Employers are nominated by their military employees”.
