ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The Alaska Air National Guard's Hometown Heroes Salute drew cheers and a few tears Sunday. The ceremony recognized more than 750 Guard members for their service overseas, but it also paid tribute to the family members and employers they leave behind during their deployments.
